What type of books do you coach?

Updated: Nov 21

In the broadest sense, the answer to this question is fiction. I don't currently coach nonfiction or memoir. This isn't to say I won't in the future, but at present, I am only seeking clients who want to work on fiction projects.

Why? Well, while my MA is in the broader category of English and creative writing (I specialized in fiction but also "minored" in poetry), my MFA is in fiction. I write mostly fiction. Much of my expertise is in fiction.

Though I will work with clients working on just about any fiction project, I have some favorites because they're what I read and/or write:

  • Historical fiction

  • Young adult

  • Literary

  • Upmarket

  • Women's fiction

  • Magical realism

  • Speculative fiction

Don't fret if your favorite fiction doesn't fall under these categories. It doesn't mean I cannot help you tell your story, and it doesn't mean I don't want to. I do! I believe everyone has a story to tell, and I want to help you tell yours, whether it's short or long, historical or contemporary, adult or YA, etc.

Have a question about this or my book coaching service? Feel free to ask!
